Plan a tour of our beautiful campus in Rome, Georgia
Stretching for nearly 500 acres, Darlington School's campus is nestled around a small lake in the foothills of the Lookout Mountain Range in Rome, Ga., a medical center and college town located approximately one hour northwest of Atlanta and southwest of Chattanooga, Tenn.
Converted from a scenic park to a school in the early 1900's, Darlington's campus remains one of the most beautiful sites in Northwest Georgia, with plenty of breathtaking beauty, timeless architecture and six miles of wooded trails to enjoy. In fact, many visitors tell us that Darlington reminds them of a college campus, with its perfect blend of historic charm and state-of-the-art advancements designed to prepare students for a 21st Century learning experience.
Named after the Italian city, Rome, Ga., was built on seven hills with three rivers running between them. In fact, the meeting to name the city was actually held at the Home-on-the-Hill, a historic residence built in 1832 which now serves as the home of Darlington's headmaster. As Darlington School continues to welcome students from all over the state, the Southeast, the country and the world, we are certain that they will find no community more friendly than this one to call their "home away from home."
